Ypsolopha parenthesella
White-shouldered Ochre
YpsolophidaeABH 17.01 B&F 460Quite a variable moth, though the forms with the white streak are commoner than the plain forms. This is essentially a woodland species, feeding on the leaves of various deciduous trees (reared from sallow in Somerset). Fairly widely distributed in wooded areas and occasionally abundant, though oddly absent from the woods on the Wiltshire border. A scarce wanderer to garden light-traps.
