A widespread and common moth, though fluctuating in numbers from year to year.&nbsp; Often one of the most common species to light in high summer.

Widespread and common everywhere, although the numbers reported appear to have declined from where they were at the turn of the century.&nbsp; Double-brooded here, flying in June and in August/September.

Scarce and local in the county, with most - though by no means all - records from acidic upland areas, especially in and around the Quantocks.
