Square-spotted Clay

Thirteen records to date.&nbsp; Historically most have been from Exmoor, but it has not been recorded there since 2005.&nbsp; There is a scatter of other records across the county, possibly relating to migrating or dispersing individuals.

Green Arches

A fairly common and widespread, but patchily-distributed moth, being essentially a woodland species that will wander short distances into gardens.&nbsp; It is absent from areas with few or no woods.

Dotted Clay

Largely an upland species, fairly widely reported from Exmoor and the Quantocks, and historically south and east through the Blackdowns; formerly more widespread in the county.&nbsp; May possibly still occur at Shapwick and in the moorland areas of the Mendips.
