Feathered Gothic

A local species in Somerset, sometimes common where it occurs.&nbsp; Most widespread in the south and west of the county, and on Mendip.&nbsp; Absent from large areas of central and eastern Somerset.

Silver Cloud

Somerset is a former national stronghold for this moth, but it has badly declined in the county.&nbsp; It has disappeared from around Taunton and Bridgwater, and the most recent records from the Quantocks and around Minehead date to 2014/15.&nbsp; It's still possible small populations exist, especially as the moth's early flight time may make it a difficult species to detect.

Hedge Rustic

Generally, but not exclusively, a moth of acidic habitats - the Quantocks, parts of Exmoor and the Mendips, and the Gordano valley.&nbsp; Records elsewhere are few and far between, suggesting it has declined and that it may only occur in these areas as a wanderer now.
