Red-tipped Clearwing

A scattering of records across the county, with a concentration on Shapwick Heath.&nbsp; Pheromone lures have given a few new sites but have not yet given a better picture of its distribution.<br>

Reported from Orchard Portman, south of Taunton, in 1884 and 1908; now nationally extinct.<br>

Large Red-belted Clearwing

Old records from Bath, Shapwick, Street, Stoke-sub-Hamdon and the Quantocks, the most recent being in 1977, and probably now extinct within the county.&nbsp; A species in decline nationally.<br>
