Stigmella splendidissimella

The records for this species need revising as a result of confusion with S. aurella.  Current thinking is that S. splendidissimella cannot definitely be identified without a reared specimen, which the majority of records on this map lack.  The only definite reared example is from Crewkerne in 2002, which at least establishes the presence of the moth in the county.
