Stigmella oxyacanthella

    Fruit-tree Dot

    NepticulidaeABH 4.026 B&F 100

A fairly common leaf-miner on hawthorn, more widely distributed across the county than most of the other hawthorn-feeding Stigmellas.  It seems to avoid the low-lying areas on the Levels but can be found in hedgerows on the low hills breaking up the landscape.
