Downland Pigmy

A leaf-miner of various low-growing Rosaceae - Tormentil Potentilla erecta, Salad Burnet&nbsp;Sanguisorba minor&nbsp;and others.&nbsp; The moth is only known from records made in 1984 at both Shapwick Heath and Langford Heathfield, all referring to f. serella&nbsp;which feeds on Tormentil.&nbsp; It may well still be present, at these sites or elsewhere.

Glossy Bramble Pigmy

The records for this species need revising as a result of confusion with S. aurella.&nbsp; Current thinking is that S. splendidissimella cannot definitely be identified without a reared specimen, which the majority of records on this map lack.&nbsp; The only definite reared example is from Crewkerne in 2002, which at least establishes the presence of the moth in the county.

Brassy Pigmy

A very rare leaf-miner of Agrimony Agrimonia eupatoria and Tormentil Potentilla erecta.&nbsp; &nbsp;Recent records are from Orchard Wood (2004, mine on Agrimony) and Ham Wall (2014 and 2016 - records of adults to light).&nbsp; There is a 1920 record for Bathford.&nbsp;&nbsp;
