A very local moth of rocky, usually coastal places, being attracted to light and also flying by day.  In Somerset, it is only regularly recorded at Hurlstone Point.  There are records in suitable habitat from Steep Holm and Crook Peak, though it appears to be absent from Brean Down, a site that might be expected to suit it.
