Lunar Hornet Moth

Historically this has been a difficult moth to survey for, though the recent introduction of a specific pheromone for it should help matters.&nbsp; A good proportion of the records are from exit holes on felled sallows.&nbsp; A scattering of records across the county, suggesting it is perhaps the most widespread and common of the clearwings here.<br>

Leopard Moth

Widespread and regularly
recorded, if thinly distributed and usually uncommon. Most records are of low
numbers to garden light traps, though it is occasionally recorded in
considerable numbers on nature reserves.

Hornet Moth

Known from a number of sites in Bath and one in Weston-super-Mare.&nbsp; Likely to be under-recorded, but even so, undoubtedly a rare and local moth within the county.<br>
