Fern Smut

Common in the north and south-west
of the county, apparently absent from the low-lying centre.&nbsp; Mostly recorded as a larva on Hart’s Tongue
Fern, but also as sightings of the adult by day or adults attracted to light.

Drab Clothes Moth

Perhaps extinct.&nbsp; Three records from Turner (1955): Batcombe,
Bridgwater and Shapwick, and one record from the Victoria County History
(1906); Castle Cary.&nbsp; Nothing since.

Hart's-tongue Smut

Recorded thinly across the county,
usually as a larva on Hart’s Tongue Fern, and occasionally at light.&nbsp; Probably under-recorded, but certainly less
common than its close relative <i>P.
filicivora</i>.&nbsp;
