Marbled White Spot

Formerly a scarce and thinly
scattered resident, now considerably more abundant and found right across the
county, occurring in gardens but being significantly commoner in good-quality
semi-natural habitat, especially woodland or heathy places on acidic soils.

Scarce Silver Y

The only record is of a presumed migrant/dispersing
individual near Taunton in 2006, a year of high migrant activity.&nbsp; It is essentially a northern, upland species
frequenting moorland, occurring not too far away in south Wales, and might possibly be worth searching for on the higher,
wilder parts of Exmoor.

Gold Spot

An insect of damp places, found
right across the county but understandably most frequent on the Levels.&nbsp; Almost certainly under-recorded on Exmoor, as
it abounds in the area around Simonsbath.&nbsp;
This moth seems to have become more frequent in recent years, especially
in the south and east of the county.
