Map-winged Swift

Associated with Bracken and acid soils.&nbsp; Frequently recorded on Exmoor, the Quantocks and parts of Blackdown.&nbsp; On Mendip, only recently recorded from the Burrington Combe/Rowberrow and Stockhill areas, though it used to be more widespread than this.&nbsp; It has been regularly found at a site in the woods on the Wiltshire border, in an area that should suit it, and there may be more populations here.<br>

Gold Swift

A scattering of records across the county and giving the appearance of a species in decline.&nbsp; Clusters of records in the western Blackdowns, southern Exmoor and the Quantocks.<br>
