Pale Oak Midget

Under-recorded owing to the difficulty of identifying the species by leaf-mine alone.&nbsp; This oak-feeder appears to be fairly common and distributed right across the county.<br>

White Oak Midget

One of a number of Phyllonorycter species mining oak, and cannot be identified from the leaf-mine alone.&nbsp; Probably the second most common of the oak Phyllonorycters and is no doubt present right across the county.<br>

Gold-bent Midget

In common with most oak-feeding Phyllonorycters, cannot be identified from the mine, so identification rests on either rearing the adult or chance findings of adult.&nbsp; This is one of the scarcer Phyllonorycters, with just three records - Chard Junction (1996), Hollow Marsh (1999) and Great Breach Wood (2019).<br>
