A recent adventive, mining the leaves of London plane, on which it can be extremely common.&nbsp; This is a planted, urban tree, and records of the moth reflect this.<br>

Common Oak Midget

Likely under-recorded, in common with all oak-feeding Phyllonorycters, but the most frequently recorded of them; most likely common and abundant right across the county.<br>

Garden Midget

Unusually for a Phyllonorycter, this species feeds from a range of hostplants - both deciduous and evergreen oaks, beech and sweet chestnut.&nbsp; It is an extremely common and widespread moth in Somerset.<br>
