Grey-alder Midget

Restricted to Grey Alder Alnus incana, a very scarce tree in Somerset.&nbsp; Four isolated populations known - Merryfield Airfield, Gordano Valley, Chew Valley Lake, Lord's Wood.&nbsp; It is possible others exist on stands of Grey Alder.<br>

Abundant leaf-miner on Hazel, no doubt present wherever the foodplant is to be found.<br>

Dark Hornbeam Midget

A leaf-miner on Hornbeam, which is not a common tree in Somerset, and with a restricted distribution as a result.&nbsp; The mines are often present in considerable numbers where the tree is to be found.<br>
