Grass Rivulet

    Perizoma albulata

    GeometridaeABH 70.137 B&F 1807

Flies by day as well as coming to light at night.  The moth requires old hay-meadows where yellow-rattle is allowed to set seed, and has much declined as a result of habitat loss.  There are local populations scattered across the county, with concentrations of records around Bath and between the Quantocks and Blackdowns.  Formerly widely recorded from the area around Shapwick and Ashcott, there are no records from there more recently than 1993.

    Adult Verification Grade: 2
