Small Rivulet

Widespread throughout the county, frequently recorded in small numbers to light in gardens, occasionally numerous in woodland and grassland habitats on acidic soils.

Twin-spot Carpet

Strongly associated with moorland in Somerset - principally Exmoor, the Quantocks and parts of the Blackdowns.&nbsp; There are very few recent records from VC6.&nbsp; It is only occasionally found in gardens, and then usually in gardens near moorland.&nbsp; Although attracted to light, it is also active by day, and can be found in some numbers both by day and by night.

The Rivulet

Widespread across the county, although seldom recorded in numbers, feeding internally on the seed-heads of red campion, and likely to occur wherever campions are allowed to set seed.&nbsp; The maps suggest an absence from much of the Levels, which may be under-recording or may be due to lack of suitable foodplant.
