Widespread across the county.&nbsp; Double-brooded, the second being larger than the first.&nbsp; Like a number of other prominents, it seems to have become scarcer in recent years.

Pebble Prominent

Widespread and frequently recorded across the county, though seemingly in lower numbers in recent years.

Great Prominent

Locally distributed, but often frequently recorded where it occurs, in an arc from Culbone and the Barle valley on Exmoor via the Brendons and Blackdown, then along the Dorset and Wiltshire borders.&nbsp; The distribution roughly matches that of oak woodlands on acidic, sloping ground.
