Small Yellow Underwing

    Panemeria tenebrata

    NoctuidaeABH 73.048 B&F 2397

This moth flies by day and is often overlooked as a pyralid – some of the genus Pyrausta are superficially similar. It is, therefore, under-recorded.  Although fairly widespread across much of the county, it must have declined significantly through the destruction of the flower-rich places where it lives.

    Adult Verification Grade: 2
