Hedge Tortrix

Uncommon and local, with most records from the south of the county between Taunton and Crewkerne.&nbsp; It comes to light in gardens, usually as a rare wanderer though certain favoured gardens can attract the species regularly.

Infrequent and not recorded every year, perhaps surprisingly
considering the amount of apple-orchards in the county.&nbsp; Not recorded west of the Quantocks.&nbsp; It is mostly found as an adult to light.

White-barred Tortrix

Fairly common and widespread in upland south and west Somerset, and also in the Mendips and northwards.&nbsp; Absent from a large swathe of central Somerset, centred on the Levels.&nbsp; Mostly flying in June and July, this moth has a partial second brood in September.
