    Mythimna turca

    NoctuidaeABH 73.288 B&F 2191

A species of semi-natural acid grassland, historically largely confined to Exmoor and the Quantocks.  In common with a national trend, it appears to have expanded its range eastwards and downhill in the last 20 years, spreading into the Blackdowns.  Still rare in VC6, though both Shapwick Heath/Ashcott and the Gordano Valley have both historic and relatively recent records.

    Adult Verification Grade: 1
