Southern Wainscot

    Mythimna straminea

    Essentially a reedbed species, with the strongest populations on the Levels and around Blagdon and Chew Valley lakes, but fairly widely spread across the low-lying parts of the county; absent from the uplands in the south and west of the county, and also from the relatively hilly east of the county.
