Bright Neb

A recent colonist of south-west England which has spread through the county.&nbsp; It is recorded annually in small numbers.&nbsp; Probably commonest in (damp?) woodland, it also comes occasionally to light in gardens.&nbsp; The larvae feed up in the shoots of raspberry and bramble.

Bracken Neb

Associated with bracken, a plant of acidic soils, and its distribution is restricted to those areas as a result.&nbsp; Most records are from the uplands, where it is likely to be under-recorded, but it has also been found in lowland, peaty areas on the Levels and in the Gordano valley.
