    A declining moth of unimproved grassland.  Still reasonably frequent on Exmoor and the Quantocks,  to a lesser extent on the Mendips, the Blackdowns, the limestone grasslands around Bath, and around Shapwick and Westhay.  Occasionally recorded from elsewhere.
