The V-Moth

    Macaria wauaria

    GeometridaeABH 70.215 B&F 1897

A species that has suffered severe national decline, possibly because its larval foodplants, Red Currant, Black Currant and Gooseberry, are not grown so much now in gardens. Historically, it was always  occasional and very local in the county. It has not been recorded since 1989 so may now be extinct.
