Latticed Heath

Associated with open, floristically-diverse habitats, this moth is primarily a day-flier though occasionally comes to light.&nbsp; Fairly local, but probably under-recorded, most frequently from the Poldens, Mendips and Avon Gorge.

The V-Moth

A species that has suffered severe national decline, possibly because its larval foodplants, Red Currant, Black Currant and Gooseberry, are not grown so much now in gardens. Historically, it was always&nbsp; occasional and very local in the county. It has not been recorded since 1989 so may now be extinct.&nbsp;

Rannoch Looper

Migrant.&nbsp; One record in Somerset in 2009, 12 records, some of multiple individuals, in 2011.&nbsp; These were associated with immigration events reported nationally - despite the moth's name, they originated from the Low Countries.
