Brindled Beauty

    Lycia hirtaria

    GeometridaeABH 70.248 B&F 1927

Essentially a woodland moth, but one that does come to lights in gardens.  As it is mostly flying in April, it is possibly under-recorded, but there is no doubt it is common and widespread, gaps in its distribution doubtless reflecting lack of recording at that time of year.

    Adult Verification Grade: 1
