Northern Ermel

"The writer may be wrong but he really cannot accept this.&nbsp; Durham, according to all authorities is the southern limit for this record.&nbsp; We have tried to trace the specimen but it is not in the Doidge collection and Doidge himself, by whom it was notified, could remember nothing about it.&nbsp; It is an obscure looking little moth at the best and the writer is convinced that its identification was erroneous" (A. Broom Bent-wing

This species mines the leaves of broom.&nbsp; Like a number of species associated with
broom, it was recorded from Brislington in the 1906 Victoria County History but
has not been seen in the county since. It may still occur in the area or in
parts of western Somerset where broom is still widespread.

Pear-leaf Blister Moth

Usually recorded as a leaf-miner on hawthorn or apple.&nbsp; Scarce and local in the county.&nbsp; Most records are from the Porlock area, but
also recently from Frome and Ditcheat.
