A migrant in irregular numbers, sometimes altogether absent, sometimes turning up widely across the county.

Eyed Hawk-moth

Generally holding its own in the county and reasonably common.&nbsp; Few records from inland Exmoor, which no doubt reflect under-recording, as there is plenty of sallow available there.&nbsp; Apparently genuinely absent from an area of east Somerset stretching east from Shepton Mallet.

Poplar Hawk-moth

A common and widespread resident, found right across the county.
