Map-winged Swift

    Korscheltellus fusconebulosa

    HepialidaeABH 3.003 B&F 18

Associated with Bracken and acid soils.  Frequently recorded on Exmoor, the Quantocks and parts of Blackdown.  On Mendip, only recently recorded from the Burrington Combe/Rowberrow and Stockhill areas, though it used to be more widespread than this.  It has been regularly found at a site in the woods on the Wiltshire border, in an area that should suit it, and there may be more populations here.

    Adult Verification Grade: 2
