Eastern Bordered Straw

A rare immigrant from the Mediterranean and Canary Islands, first recorded in Britain in 1958. There is a handful of county records. It needs to be distinguished with care from the pale form of Scarce Bordered Straw.&nbsp;

Marbled Clover

As a resident, confined to East Anglia and Salisbury Plain, though it previously bred more widely. Also a suspected immigrant, which probably accounts for scattered records elsewhere. Turner (1955) listed it as very rare in the county, with records from Withycombe in 1908 and 1912 and other reports from Bath, Clevedon and Hinton St. George. The only modern record is from Stoke Trister in 1995.&nbsp;

Bordered Straw

Immigrant species from southern Europe and North Africa that, nationally, occurs in most years in varying numbers.&nbsp; Significant influxes occurred in 1996, 2006 and 2015. In the county, Turner (1955) recorded it as&nbsp; a frequent immigrant. At the time of the last major influx in 2015, 88 were recorded in the county, a record total.
