The Lychnis

    Hadena bicruris

    NoctuidaeABH 73.281 B&F 2173

Common and widespread, if rarely abundant.  Looking for the early stages expands our knowledge of the distribution; the larvae feed internally in the seed-capsules of campions, and it can often be easier to establish its presence in an area by collecting tenanted capsules and rearing the larvae within.

    Adult Verification Grade: 2
