    A species of wet grasslands, associated with rushes.  Most widely distributed in the south and west, becoming more local in the north and east of the county.  This moth can be present in substantial numbers – sometimes several hundreds – where it occurs.  Although it comes to light, it is more frequently recorded by day, and usually in larger numbers.
