Cocksfoot Moth

Very common, sometimes abundant, probably occurring right
across the county with the gaps in distribution probably reflecting lack of
recorders rather than absence of the moth.

Cotton-grass Fanner

No Somerset records; associated with cotton-grass <i>Eriophorum</i> spp., and possible it has been
overlooked in suitable habitat on Exmoor or in the Gordano valley.

Sedge Fanner

Rare, with very few records since the first decade of the
current century, scattered across the county, usually in damp woodland
situations.
