Exapate congelatella

    Autumnal Shade

    TortricidaeABH 49.043 B&F 1026

Rare and local, though almost certainly under-recorded because it flies during the winter.  Currently only known from Merryfield Airfield.  A. H. Turner used to record it regularly at Bickenhall in the 1940s and 1950s.  There is an older record from Brislington.  The moth breeds on Blackthorn Prunus spinosa, and may be present at other sites.
