Saltmarsh Knot-horn

A scarce species.&nbsp;&nbsp;Half the records date to 2006 and there have been none since.  Nationally, the moth is both a resident and an immigrant, but the Somerset records seem likely to be the result of immigration; that said, the species is a saltmarsh specialist and its habitat is very rarely recorded.

Ash-bark Knot-horn

A widespread and common species.&nbsp; Associated with ash, which may explain its absence from inland Exmoor and relative scarcity on the Levels.&nbsp; As yet, there is no sign that this species has been affected by ash dieback.

Three records - Selworthy (1965) and from the Portishead area in 1980 and 1994.&nbsp;&nbsp;
