Freyer's Pug

Widespread, but local, throughout the county in low numbers.&nbsp; The main foodplants in Somerset are probably ornamental cypresses, and as a result it tends to be more frequently met with in urban areas.

Pinion-spotted Pug

A nationally scarce species of hedgerows and woodland edges, and sometimes orchards and gardens, which has always been very rare in the county. The larval foodplant is Hawthorn. May come to light later in the night.

Triple-spotted Pug

Scarce and local, a few records most years, occasionally altogether absent.&nbsp; Although there are recent records from much of the county, most are from west of Taunton.
