Slender Pug
Eupithecia tenuiata
GeometridaeABH 70.147 B&F 1811Thinly scattered across the county wherever there are stands of sallows - the larvae feed internally within sallow catkins. It is not often recorded at light in gardens, and is perhaps easier to find by collecting fallen sallow catkins in the spring and rearing through. There are no records from the south-eastern corner of the county, which may reflect under-recording or an absence of suitable sallows.
