Cypress Pug

    Eupithecia phoeniceata

    GeometridaeABH 70.159 B&F 1855

A relatively recent colonist, both nationally and locally.  The larvae feed on ornamental cypresses, and unsurprisingly the moth is associated with gardens, especially in urban areas; it is very rare in the wider countryside.

    Adult Verification Grade: 1
