Larch Pug

    Eupithecia lariciata

    GeometridaeABH 70.163 B&F 1856

Scarce and local, though possibly under-recorded through lack of interest in surveying the conifer plantations that provide ideal habitat for this species.  Commonest in the Blackdowns and Quantocks, and also at Stockhill in the Mendips.  Likely to be considerably under-recorded on Exmoor where plenty of suitable habitat exists.
