Haworth's Pug

    Eupithecia haworthiata

    GeometridaeABH 70.146 B&F 1813

Uses the calcicole Traveller's Joy Clematis vitalba as a host plant, and not surprisingly the moth is associated with calcareous areas; largely absent from the Levels and the upland west of the county, though with a cluster of records around Porlock suggesting an isolated resident population.

    Adult Verification Grade: 2
