Ethmia quadrillella

Recorded in Cheddar Wood in 1917 and at the same site in 2000.  These are the only county records.  It is remarkable that the moth has not been found elsewhere; the foodplant (comfrey) is widespread in the county and there are plenty of superficially similar locations elsewhere in the Mendips.
