    A moth of semi-natural acid grassland - not moorland - with Heath Bedstraw Galium saxatile.  In Somerset it is found in grassy, mostly inland areas of Exmoor, especially around Simonsbath, spreading eastwards to the western fringes of Dunkery.  In its habitat, which is seldom trapped, it is usually recorded flying by day.  The moth does disperse from the breeding grounds, especially short distances, and has been recorded at light at Minehead and Wiveliscombe.
