Dingy Spruce Bell

Very rare with just two records:
“ST45” (1980) and Haselbury Plucknett (1939).&nbsp;
Associated with spruce, and possibly worth searching for in some of the
many spruce plantations scattered around the county.

White Sallow Bell

Scarce and scattered in
distribution, although it is encouraging that the vast majority of records are
relatively recent.

Square-barred Bell

This species is associated with
birches and alders.&nbsp; Historically and up
to the 1950s, it seems to have been fairly common.&nbsp; There are very few subsequent records, though
the reliance on light-trapping to garner records may be responsible for this,
as it has only ever been recorded to light twice in Somerset.
