Epinotia tetraquetrana

    Square-barred Bell

    TortricidaeABH 49.245 B&F 1137

This species is associated with birches and alders.  Historically and up to the 1950s, it seems to have been fairly common.  There are very few subsequent records, though the reliance on light-trapping to garner records may be responsible for this, as it has only ever been recorded to light twice in Somerset.
