Epinotia cruciana

    Willow Tortrix

    TortricidaeABH 49.238 B&F 1147

Seems to have been fairly widely distributed, going by the records in the Victoria County History (1906) and Turner (1955). The only subsequent records have been from West Luccombe (1998), Berrow (1998) and Harridge Wood (2001).  Its disappearance is hard to understand, as the foodplants are sallows and willows Salix spp. – common plants within the county.
