Grey-spotted Dwarf

A moth of calcareous habitats, feeding on glaucous sedge Carex flacca on which the larvae are easily identifiable in the spring.&nbsp; Possibly ought to be more widespread than records suggest - relatively recently from the Avon Gorge (2003) and Burrington Combe (1987), and long ago from Crewkerne and Haselbury Plucknett.

Triple-spot Dwarf

Essentially a species of damp habitats and wetlands, seemingly restricted to lowland Somerset.&nbsp; Most records are of adults at light, but the larval mines have been recorded occasionally from Phalaris and Phragmites.

Scarce Dwarf

Very rare - the only recent records are from Hawknest Wood, Porlock, in 1992 and West End Wood, Stourhead (mine on great wood-rush, Luzula sylvatica), in 2023.&nbsp; Historic records from Castle Cary, Batcombe and Leigh Woods.
