Dewberry Pigmy

Astonishingly local for a miner on brambles, most records of this species come from a small area between Midsomer Norton and Shepton Mallet, where it is very irregular in occurrence, present in numbers on sites one year yet absent the next.&nbsp; Also recorded from wild raspberry.<br>

Pinch-barred Pigmy

Fairly widespread and common throughout the county, with gaps in distribution probably reflecting lack of recording.&nbsp; The usual foodplant is hawthorn, but it also mines apple and possibly other related trees and shrubs.<br>

Strawberry Pigmy

Just six records, all from calcareous sites in VC6; it is possibly under-recorded. The Somerset records are from mines on wild strawberry.<br>
