Old Lady

Reported in small numbers every
year, usually at light, despite its reputation for not being attracted to
light.&nbsp; It appears most common north of
the Mendips or south of the Poldens, being scarce or absent from a large
section of central Somerset.

Porter's Rustic

A rare immigrant from southern Europe, first recorded in Britain in 1978. There is one county record, from Merriott, in 2008, the year of the highest national influux.

Bird's Wing

A moth of woodland, scrub and heath that is largely confined to south-east England and the West Midlands. There are two old county records and a more recent one from 2011.
