Figure of Eight

This moth has declined considerably nationally, and Somerset is now something of a stronghold for it.  Here too it seems to have lost ground, no longer being recorded from the Poldens around Street or west Somerset between Bridgwater and Watchet, both areas where it once appears to have been frequent.  Most recent records seem to be from lowland south Somerset and the coast between Clevedon and Weston-super-Mare.
